I’m heavy, so my thighs are definitely on the “fleshy” side and could use a little smoothing under my pants and jeans. I’ve tried other brands of longline undergarments in the past, but most of them were actual shapewear so the amount of spandex in them had me sweating up a storm and almost hitting the panic button while just trying to get them up and on! (I thought I might slingshot myself across the room, some of them were so tight!) When I saw an ad for Thigh Society, I went on their website and scoured their reviews. I was particularly impressed with their statement that they ONLY make/sell bike shorts and that is ALL that they make/sell. Experts, then, right? So I decided to order the 17” shorts in The Cooling version; I bought a nude and a black pair. I have worn them both. I received them really quickly, like within a week or 10 days of ordering, and when I went to try them on I was SO surprised! They are BUTTERY SOFT and TRULY COMFORTABLE! Easy to get on and off. And they really did keep me pretty cool and dry under my jeans. Even though they are not technically marketed as shapewear, they still do a good job of smoothing me out under my clothes, which is everything I was looking for in an undergarment: I look smoother in my clothes; they are soft, don’t pinch anywhere, and are easy to get into and wear all day; sitting and standing throughout the day the waist and leg bands stay put and don’t roll up or down throughout the day; They don’t cut in or cut off my circulation; and they didn’t make me feel overheated under my jeans. I have long nails, as well, and I did not have any problems getting them up and in place, or accidentally poke any holes or runs in the fabric, since the yarn is really stretchy and forgiving. I give these 5 out of 5 stars. They are on the pricey side, but worth every penny, in my opinion. Now that I have tried them out in the 17”, I will get a few more in a shorter length and try them out as boy shorts-style undies for the hotter days. I have a feeling I will like those just as much. I completely recommend this product! P.S. I am putting in my review that these run “True To size,” because I did order my usual size according to the website’s size chart. I will say, they are pretty roomy, not loose, but also not tight. It would have been possible to have sized down, but then I think I might have sacrificed some of the stretch, comfort and coolness, and might have been more prone to putting runs in the fabric. It would be your preference, of course, but I would recommend sticking to your actual body measurements when choosing your size and enjoy the more comfortable fit, as they are intended.
